A Chilly, Pretty November

Hey Everyone -

Nothing real exciting to report for November, but we've taken a few nice pics to share. Hopefully, we'll be seeing you all in a week or so for Thanksgiving. Can't believe it is already that time of year.

So first, I suppose I will inundate you with pictures of Eva. I mean, she's just so damn cute. Here's a picture of her cuddling with her monkey.

We've been taking her and Deuce to the dog park every weekend and she is the fastest dog EVER. It's really fun to watch her run. Glenn has some video but I was unable to get them to work on my computer, so we'll have to show you in person. But here's a cute action pic.

Anyway, I sometimes share pics of her on the rescue site's Facebook page (where we got her) and recently one of the staff there sent me this picture saying - "Eva was part of a litter that meant a lot to all of us here - we called them The Five Sisters". Look at what a sad condition these pups were in...

Also - if anything this picture has me even more mystified as to what kind of dog she is because she and her sisters all look like completely different kinds of dogs. I would never guess they were related (except they all have the same ears).

Anyway, she looks so sad there, so to see her now really makes me happy. Everyone is always stopping us and telling us how pretty she is.

Lying in the hole she dug in the yard.
Also, just in case you were wondering about Deuce...

Meh.
Ok. So what else is new? Well, it's been pretty cold the past few days - in the 50s and 60s. Last week, when it was a bit warmer, we had our first fire of the season. Lovely.

Glenn has also installed some new light fixtures around the house, including this new ceiling fan...

...and a new dining room fixture. He's getting good at this!

I also got my hair cut and colored...it only looks curly here because I went out for a walk in the humidity before taking this pic. I wanted to try a selfie with the new phone on portrait mode - it blurs the background. You'll also note I'm wearing a turtleneck because IT'S COLD.

So, I've also increased my morning walk to about 3 miles, so I've had the chance to take some more pics.

Curlew on the sidewalk
Curlew in a tree
Great Blue Heron
Cooper's Hawk
Decent sized gator - maybe 5 feet?

I was excited to see a manatee right off the side of the road, off of this little bridge, because they are rarely in there. I also got him with his mouth open. Hello, Mr. Manatee!  Huulllllllloooooooo!

When Glenn and I take the dogs to the dog park, we also walk around a bit through the main park - John Chestnut (our fav!). Glenn took some pretty pictures last time we were there.

I love this one.

So speaking of Glenn, he's been traveling a lot going to Making Strides walks. I think this is the one in Tampa...

And this maybe Sarasota?

You know what's missing from this post? Yeah, you guessed it. Monster Trucks.

So anyway, that's all I got, folks. Hope you all are well and happy! Later, gators.
