First Post of 2016!

Hi Everyone and Happy Belated New Year!

Sorry I have not posted in a while, but the otters are a tough act to follow.

Plus, its been rather cool and grey and we have not been out on many photo worthy adventures as late. So this will be a short blog. Enjoy!

For New Year's Eve, we had a fabulous dinner out at Parts of Paris and that was about the extent of our evening's adventures.

This perhaps best describes our holiday.

In other news, I mentioned it had been cooler. I think it was New Year's Day that I took this. It was cool enough to have a fire.

Look at my cute boys!
In other news, the paperwhites that my parents sent for Xmas (thanks!) and the Christmas cactus Merylyn Hogue gave us last year are both in full bloom. I hear it is quite cold in Pgh today, so maybe these will cheer you up.

These also smell amazing!
At work, Glenn has been decorating his office for the kickoff of the Relay season. This is "Spirit Week" and their theme is "Paint your World Purple."

Glenn did a cool job combining some of his paintings with Xmas lights. Here is a painting he did for our friend Jenn, who was diagnosed with cancer over Christmas.

Neat how he made it look like little luminarias.
Here's a detail shot.

He sent Jenn the pics and she said it was one of the nicest things anyone had ever done for her.

Here's a pic of me and Jenn from last Christmas just so you know who we're talking about.

Anyway, here is how Glenn has decorated his office (and also, if you haven't seen his office before, it's quite nice!)

In other news, I also got a nice office upgrade recently - I'll have to take a pic. Also, my boss got me a space heater which has been greatly appreciated since the office buildings down here aren't really set up to provide heat.

Another fun development is that Glenn and I have found a local dive where we can play pool for 25 cents a game. We are really enjoying getting back into the game. I don't know if my folks even know this about me, but I am pretty decent at pool. And Glenn is very good. Perhaps this will be our back up plan if we don't win the Powerball.

We actually might go over tonight to play before the Steeler game. (Go Steelers!)

Anyway, we took the dogs for a 2 mile walk today at John Chestnut Park, and I took a couple pics to share.

Ok, well, that's it for now. Hope you are all having a wonderful new year! Love to you all.
