Two for Tucson: Part 2

Hi All -

Sorry for the delay in our second Tucson post. I believe we left you all near the top of Mt. Lemmon.

The next day, my folks took us to a beautiful old mission, called Mission San Xavier, on an Indian reservation. You'll see it's a beautiful day and a beautiful place.

From here we went to another mission, called Tumacacori. You'll see we had the place pretty much to ourselves.

We also went to a cute little town called Tubac, and went to the Tubac Golf Club for lunch.

Another beautiful day in the books. Tuesday we went to the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. We started by watching a raptor show, where they let some birds fly over your heads. This was a somewhat abbreviated show due to an uncooperative owl, who you'll see below. But the birds we saw were very cool.

Falcon

These are javelinas (aka Skunk pigs) - they look cute here but Glenn and I had an up close encounter with them one night in the dark when we were out by a bonfire at my folks place. Think of having a wild boar run out at you in the darkness. No thank you. (Plus, they smell...)

Coyote - we heard them howling a lot around my parents place.
Roadrunner - BEEP! BEEP!

Grey Wolf
Mountain lion

So, that's the best of the pics from the trip. Thanks to my folks for showing us such a wonderful time. Tucson is beautiful and we had a lot of fun in the sun. Hope you all are well. Take care!
