Vegas and Other Holiday Shenanigans

Hi Everyone -

Happy Holidays! I don't think I've posted since our France trip, so I am a a terrible person. But I will attempt to make up for it now.

Presenting Vegas - in all its holiday splendor.

Some pics from the Crystals Shops next door to Aria...

There's a restaurant inside the wooden structure.

Our first dinner out with Matty and Julie at Casa Playa at the Encore (delicious!).

Next night - dinner at Pat and Lori's house.

Next morning, brunch at Kassi's at the new Virgin Casino.

Saturday night, the six of us went to Javier's at Aria for dinner.

The next day, I skipped brunch to sleep in and Glenn headed over to the Sphere - a new 365-ft tall entertainment venue on the Strip. It is a giant sphere with video screens covering the outside, so it is constantly changing. Here are some pics I stole from the internet to show it in different states. You can see how big it is by comparing it to the casinos around it.

I think Glenn took this one from the plane.

So this was what it looked like from the ground during the day.

Glenn watched a movie inside, and here are some shots of the movie. Pretty cool.

Sunday night was our last evening with Matty and Julie (they left the next morning). We decided to explore two more new casinos in the North end of the Strip. First the Fontainbleu...

This was a cool sculpture that spins around according to the tides in oceans all over the world.

And here's Glenn with a car that has been rolled into a ball.

We had an amazing dinner at a place called Carver Steak which was in the nearby Resort World casino. Glenn took an artsy pic of Matty & Julie's appetizer, but we were too busy eating to take additional pics.

Afterwards, we walked through Resort World a bit - they had kinda a mini-sphere inside.

Ok, folks - that's it for Vegas. A good time was had by all!

Fast forward to last night, when we got to attend G.O.S.H's (Golf Carts of Safety Harbor) Ho Ho Holiday Harbor Cruise, where we joined 66 golf carts to tour up and down main street in our decorated carts and hurl candy at unsuspecting children.

Chad and Lisha joined us for the silliness and we had a blast!

Unfortunately, they had the parade around 5:00, so you can't really appreciate all the amazing lights Glenn had on here.

Here were the kids we were facing throughout the parade - clearly having a miserable time. Chad did all sorts of funny dances but could not get them to crack a smile.

And this was the winning cart. We all agreed - guy in the hot gingerbread man suit totally deserved to win.

Anyway, as you can tell, we are having a very festive holiday season! Hope you all are as well!  Merry Christmas!
