Callihans Lose Their Mojo :-(

Hey everyone -

As you probably heard, we've had a difficult few weeks here. We had to put Mojo to sleep on Monday, and we've been pretty heart-broken about it. Time is helping though, and we know we did the right thing. Mojo had a very happy life and we were lucky to have her.

Someone posted a quote on Glenn's Facebook page that said, "Don't be sad that it's over; be happy that it happened." Trying to keep that in mind.

Not to be too depressing, but I did want to share a few of my favorite pics of her. As some of you know, she did not like getting her picture taken for some reason, but we did have a few great ones. This is my favorite. She just had the sweetest face.

Not sure if you all remember the story of how we got her. Maxine was lonely, so we decided to see if we could find her a friend. On Oct 17, 2004, I found a pic online of a guy with his arms filled with beagle puppies (I wish I could find it). They were all black and tan except for one white one. I told Glenn I wanted that one. It didn't matter that there was a Steelers game coming on, or that the shelter was a couple of hours away in West Virginia - we went and got our little Mo.

And despite a bit of a rough start (Max bit her on the nose), they did quickly become the best of friends.

This past week at work, we had our staff photos taken. The last time I worked at an agency and we had photos done was when I worked at Mullen in Pittsburgh. They told everyone to bring something that they loved. I brought Mo.

She hated this by the way - she was stressed out and shedding all over me. Come to think of it, maybe that's why she didn't like getting her picture taken.

Anyway, it was only earlier this month that we were walking 3 miles with her and Deuce. (This was taken after one of those walks...)

Glenn stayed home on Monday with her, and sent me this pic while I was at work.

So hard to say goodbye. She was a sweet and gentle soul...unless you were a lizard.

Deuce has been very subdued since she passed, but he'll be ok.

We took him on a long walk today and are giving him much love and attention.

So otherwise, we've not been having many adventures lately. One night a couple weekends ago, we went to dinner and an outdoor concert in Safety Harbor with my boss Mike and his wife Mary, which was fun.

Glenn has also once again kindly joined me on some of my morning walks recently, so we've seen some nice sunrises together.

We also went back to Pass-A-Grill Beach a couple weekends ago and went to the Hurricane. It's a rooftop bar we tried to take Dave and Marsha to when they were here, but it was closed due to stormy weather. The sunset wasn't spectacular, but it was a nice evening. And the clouds behind the place were cool.

Also, unrelated to anything, we were at dinner the other night and spotted Fire Marshal Frog.

Here's a closer look.

"No smoking in here, sir. I'll report you."
So that's about it. We discovered an awesome farmer's market yesterday in St. Pete and had a fun morning there. Today we attempted a little fishing and each caught one small fish. Nothing too exciting.

Hope you are all doing well. Love you!
