Ain't that a kick in the head?

Hello Everyone -

For those of you certain that I was going to miss posting in June entirely - haha! I just made it!

June has been a fast, hot and humid month, and I freely admit that I have slacked off in the picture taking department. Still, we have accumulated a few photos we can share. This is kind of a random jumble with not much in the way of storyline, but hey. You get what you pay for.

Bayshore, on one of our morning walks.
A few pics from John Chestnut park.

Aaaah! The amazingly ugly cute Moorhen chicks!
Look at their pink little bald heads!

Hello, Deer!
Back at home, the clock frogs have been having an exciting summer so far, and we've caught them several times on their way out at night.

We also were treated to a spectacular sunset one night off of our front porch.

So that takes us to our next location:

Our friends, Pat and Lori got married in Vegas on June 17th and invited us and a number of our best friends from Pittsburgh along for the ride. The above pic is from their invitation - the theme was "Ain't That a Kick in the Head?"

On our way...
Glenn took about 800 pics out the window of the plane. If you'd like to see more, please contact him directly.

Our friends arrived before us. Jenn just completed chemo and was very happy to be on the trip.

Here we are upon arrival - in front of the Aria.
You can always tell you're in Vegas. Here were the people checking in ahead of us.

So many questions...
So anyway, unfortunately, I can't share the majority of the photos we took, because someone is almost always making an obscene gesture. Also, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. But here are a few pics that made the cut.

Also, note that Glenn took almost all the pics in Vegas, so you are going to see a lot of Glenn selfies. But here's a nice group shot the waitress took.

First night dinner at the Border Grill
Here's us the next morning in front of the "Trevi Fountain" at Caesar's Palace.

Later that day (Friday), we all got ready for the wedding and were picked up in a GIANT SUV Limo. Yes, there was a stripper pole in the back, but no, there was no stripping.

Pat and Lori got married in a tiny wedding chapel in Old Vegas. They have not gotten their official pics back yet, and we weren't allowed to take photos, but one of their relatives took this, so you can at least get a peek at the wedding. It was probably at about this point that I was telling Glenn that he could not eat Cheez-Its during the ceremony.

Afterwards, we went to the reception at a restaurant called Barrymores, where the ceiling is covered in old film reels. Much more silliness ensued.

Just the girls
Later Patrick ended up in a tiara...

And Jenn ended up in a giant shoe.

I had gone to bed by this time.

Here's us the next morning, in front of the MGM lion. It was like 107 degrees or something silly like that.

Our last night in Vegas, we all ate together at the Aria, although you can't tell that from this pic.

Alright, I will share with you my favorite pic of the trip - although it does contain an obscene gesture, but it is a unique composition of us with both the groom (perhaps tired of Glenn's selfies) and the bride (in the background, doing a backbend to get in the photo). This just makes me laugh.

Ok - so enough of that. Hopefully you are not offended. We all made it back alive and our friends are successfully hitched.

Things have been less exciting since our return, but we did go out to dinner this Sat with Chad and Lisha, and went afterwards to a Tiki bar on the water called the Getaway. Glenn got some pretty pics at dusk.

So I think we are now caught up for June. Let's hope we have lots of great photographic moments to share in July. Love you guys!
