Happy Cinco De Mayo!

Hello everyone!

When Taco Tuesday and Cinco de Mayo converge, you know you are in for a very unhealthy dinner. Ah well. It was worth it.

Hope you all had a festive evening as well. Also - a special shout out to my brother David and his fabulous wife Marsha on their (16th?!) wedding anniversary. I toast you both with my margarita! Ole!

Ok, so onto the blog.

First of all, some plants. (Try to remain calm.)

This was a pretty flowering plant I discovered during my lunchtime walk.

And apparently the tropical fern in our backyard is blooming...or is planning to take over the planet Earth.

This flower is the size of a dinner plate.
Pretty exciting, huh?

Saturday morning, we met up with my friend Michele Mansfield Tysiak - one of my best friends from college. Sometime we should tell you about the time Glenn and I set her up with his Pakistani roommate. Hilarity ensued.

Anyhow, she was in Sarasota for work and then in Tampa for a wedding. We took her out for a nice brunch and had a fun time catching up with her.

Then Glenn drove to Ft. Lauderdale for a Relay and flew home the next day.

Yes, Tom, Glenn is putting up luminerias for you all over the state of Florida

I headed to the Safety Harbor Spa for a facial.

Hey, I have to keep myself occupied, right?

Sunday night, Glenn and I headed off to uncharted waters, an island off of Clearwater Beach called Sand Key which, amazingly, we had never been to. The famed Columbia restaurant of Ybor City has a restaurant there, with a porch overlooking the Bay.

After dinner, we headed over to Sand Key Park to catch the sunset. (Yep, cue the sunset pics!)

Hold on to your butts!

I have to say, I never get tired of seeing the sunsets down here.

There was also a pretty cool view in the other direction, but not as spectacular.

A giant moon came out too.

So that's about it. Sadly, we took no photos of ourselves eating tacos and nachos tonight...you'll just have to take our word for it.

Love yinz guys!
