Dog Days of Summer

Hey Guys -

I can't believe that I haven't done a blog post since Tucson! I'm a loser. But I did start up a business, so there's that. But still.

So anyway, here's an assortment of pics to cover the last couple months.

The dogs continue to live the good life.

"I'll have a margarita, please."
I love this pic. Eva's giving me a look like, Can you BELIEVE this guy?!
Also, I got Eva to the point where she'll get into the pool and swim on her own.

She likes to sit on the tanning shelf.

The other day she went in and didn't want to come back out. So cute.

So speaking of the pool area, our fan died on the lanai (which is vital for survival), so Glenn put up a new one that is much nicer than the old.

He also recently hung up hooks for our beach towels, which makes me very happy.

Additionally, you may be excited to hear that we have baby limes growing in our back yard.

Very occasionally, we leave the house.

Here's us on the beach on Memorial Day.

The Saturday before the 4th of July, we went to Chad and Lisha's little place in Ozona to watch fireworks off their dock. For some reason, we hardly ever think to take pics with them, but Glenn did get some pretty pics as the sun was setting.

The fireworks were surprisingly good to, but too hard to get pics of.

Typical Florida weather in the summer, we've been getting a lot of crazy storms. We've also been seeing quite a few rainbows.

Also, I made Glenn a blueberry pie for his birthday, which came out quite yummy if I do say so myself.

On our anniversary, Glenn took the day off and we went to Pass-a-Grille Beach, which is a beautiful beach near St. Pete. It was just a perfect beach day.

Then, this weekend, we went to Caretta's on the Gulf at the SandPearl Resort in Clearwater for an amazing dinner.

Plus we got to watch the storms roll in over the beach.

All in all, a beautiful night.

Well, kids, that should about get you caught up. I guess it's time for a nap.

Love y'all.

Travels in Tuscon

Hey Everyone!

Welcome to the latest edition of the blog, which takes us out West for my dad's 80th birthday extravaganza.

Glenn and I arrived a day before David and Marsha. My folks were renting this lovely house where we all stayed.

We definitely need a cow skull for our house!

It was like 70 degrees our first day there, 85 on day two, and 97 on day three.

Here are some more pics from around their property.

On day 2, David and Marsha arrived and we all had a lot of fun catching up. And Glenn and Marsha began working on a 500 piece butterfly puzzle on the back porch that totally absorbed their focus for the duration of the trip. I did not know Glenn liked jigsaw puzzles.

That was also my dad's birthday, so we went out and had a fabulous dinner at a famous restaurant called Hacienda del Sol.

This is the view out of the window of the restaurant
The birthday boy!
The next day, David, Marsha and Glenn took an early morning hike in Saguaro National Park, while I slept in and regretted nothing.

This is a Cholla cactus and I can tell you from experience it is not nice.

When they got back from their hike, we went to the Tucson Botanical Gardens, which was beautiful. They also had a butterfly house where we got some good pics.

This might be my favorite pic from here

These butterflies look like owls when their wings are open. You can see the "eyes" on their wings.

Glenn is a more expressive butterfly than me.
Well, I can think of no better way to conclude the blog than with that.^

Hope you enjoyed the pics and you are all doing well!
