Morning Walk & Tower at Bok

Hey Everyone!

We'll be back in the Burgh soon, but in the meantime, I figured I'd share some of our latest pics.

One nice thing is that Glenn has had the past two Mondays and Tuesdays off, so he has been getting up at daybreak with me and accompanying me on my morning walk. We have both been enjoying it a lot. This morning we saw dolphins and a trio of manta rays. Sorry, manta rays are camera shy.

Still, we've accumulated some pretty pictures from the crack of dawn.

Also, I think I may have mentioned to you that there are flocks of green parakeets down here - just like you would see in a pet store. Glenn and I spotted these two lovebirds on a wire. Not the best pic, but you get the idea.

So, on Saturday, I decided I would help Glenn celebrate his birthday early, so we took a surprise trip to Lake Wales to visit the Bok Tower Gardens.

What's the Tower all about? Not sure. I didn't feel like reading the signs in the welcome center. Visitors aren't allowed in...it seems to pretty much just play bells. But it is a very pretty building.

These lily pads look fake. And they are huge - like 3 feet across!

Very pretty! We also had a fun dinner out in Tampa, and then I gave Glenn his present, which he will tell you all about in person. :-)

Anyway, that's a short post, but I hope you all enjoyed it. Looking forward to seeing you all soon!
