This past Thursday through Saturday, Glenn went to Dallas for their Relay for Life Volunteer Summit.
Certain things about his trip will probably not surprise you.
1. He rented another cool car.
2. He once again dressed up like Slash.
3. He managed to get into a few selfies.
Looks like he is having way too much fun for a work trip.
He did have one surprise when his hotel was evacuated at 2 am when the fire alarm went off, but fortunately, the hotel was not actually on fire.
4. He also managed to get some cool sunset pictures...from the plane as he flew back into Tampa!
Meanwhile, back at home, I realized for the first time that we had a Bird of Paradise plant in our yard.
I also let Deuce destroy a stuffed alligator (this is why we don't usually give him toys.)
Come any closer and I'll kill you. |
Ta-da! |
Hold on to your hats, folks! Glenn and I went to A PARK! (Yes, believe it or not, there are still a few parks in Florida that we have not been to yet.)
This time we went to Sawgrass Lake Park in St. Petersburg, and it was really pretty. I read that it was a "little" park but we felt like we walked A LOT.
The good news is that a cold front came through and knocked our temperatures down from the mid-90s to the mid-80s which is a nice relief. Atta way, Fall!
I found out these are called Beautyberries, and they are not poisonous, but supposedly not too tasty. |
We went to the park because we heard they had a lot of alligators, which was true, but they were just little fellas.
And I think this might be my favorite pic...
So that's it for this week, folks. Hope all is well with you all! Love and lizards!
