Living in the Tropics

Okay, so here's a little tour of our surroundings here on W. Indiana Avenue.

This is the front of the house with the screened in lanai (also known to northerners as a porch) to the left.

And this is the back yard...

We have a little shed, and the whole area is fenced in with a large wooden fence, to prevent beagle escape. You'll also note a little deck on the back of the house. The palm trees and other plants back here are huge and gorgeous, so forgive a momentary foray into some flora pics.

And...

Yes, that is actually sand in our yard.

 

In addition to the palm trees, we have giant bamboo, that is probably at least 50 feet tall. Chad says that bamboo is an invasive species, but I kinda like it and am thinking of getting a panda.

 

Ok...sorry, one more...Glenn and I just love the palm trees.
